Bucknell Rallies to Defeat Navy, 7-6, in Game One of Patriot League Baseball Championship Series
After tying the score with five runs in the seventh inning, Bucknell completed the comeback with a run in the top of the ninth to knock off Navy, 7-6, in game one of the Patriot League Baseball Championship Series on Friday at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The No. 4 seed Bison (25-22-2) take a 1-0 lead in the series, and will have a shot at the League title when the teams meet in game two of the best-of-three matchup on Saturday at Noon in Annapolis. If No.2 seed Navy (32-24-1) wins that contest, the teams will face off for the title in a decisive game three 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two. MORE [+]

Lehigh Drops NCAA Softball Tournament Regional Opener To Stanford
Stanford's Missy Penna struck out 14 batters to pick up her 35th win of the season as the Cardinal blanked Lehigh 4-0 in the opening game of the NCAA Amherst Regional Friday at the UMass Softball Complex. The Mountain Hawks hung tough with the No. 12 national seed all day but managed just four hits off Penna as they fall to 38-16-1 on the season. Navy Continues Play In 2008 Men's Lacrosse NCAA Tournament Against Johns Hopkins
Navy advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament with an 8-7 upset win over fourth-seeded North Carolina as an at large bid into the national tourney. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial is one of two quarterfinal sites and the Mids will be taking on the No. 5 seed and defending national champion Johns Hopkins on their home field at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 17. Bucknell and Navy Play for Patriot League Baseball Championship Beginning Friday in Annapolis
After advancing with victories in the final game of their best-of-three semifinal series, No. 4 seed Bucknell and No. 2 Navy square off for the Patriot League Baseball Championship on Friday and Saturday in Annapolis. The first game is set for Friday at 3 p.m., with game two on Saturday at Noon and game three, if necessary, coming 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two. Navy leads all Patriot League schools with five titles, while Bucknell is tied for third in League annals with three crowns.
