The delicate balance of managing Division I athletics at a highly competitive academic institution allowed me to effectively navigate the rigors of medical school. The intensity that was requires on the court to win and succeed at the best level I could translate into the daily challenges I face in the emergency department as I tend to high volumes of critically ill patients.
