Former Football Player Helps Lead Team to Professional Championship
Former Georgetown football player Maurice Banks had never considered himself an outspoken guy. For Banks, considered a ferocious tackler on the field, the same ferocity was not often heard in his voice. Even for a player who displayed the talent to earn playing time as a true freshman and start every game after it was not until being named a senior tri-captain prior to his senior year where he let his voice be heard.

Georgetown Football Begins Practices for 2008 Season
Under bright and sunny skies during the weekend, the Georgetown University football team went to work. The Hoyas had a few days off early in the week, but players officially checked-in, received their equipment and handbooks and settled in for meetings on Thursday.

Hoya Headliner Introduces Incoming Freshman Brandon Basso
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The newest installment of Hoya Headliner introduces freshman defensive end Brandon Basso. Basso, of Woodbridge, Conn., was a three-sport standout at Amity Regional High School before spending a prep year at Choate Rosemary Hall, excelling in football, basketball and lacrosse.
