Bronx, N.Y. - Colgate's Elizabeth Kennedy concluded her collegiate career with a victory at the ECAC Women's Cross Country Championship Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y., while Jon Anderson of Army earned runner-up honors in the men's race. Kennedy finished fourth at last month's Patriot League Championship, and Anderson earned eighth-place honors.

In the team competition, Army's men's squad placed second, and the Bucknell men recorded a fourth-place finish. Meanwhile, the Raiders placed second in the women's competition, followed by the Black Knights (third) and Bison (eighth).

Among the other Patriot League top 20 finishers in the men's competition were Army's Zach Reiter (11th) and Greg Griffith (12th) and Joe Foley of Bucknell placed 20th. Colgate's Stacey Marion, the 2007 Patriot League individual champion, finished third and Meghan Curran of Army registered a 10th-place finish.

On Monday, three student-athletes will represent the Patriot League at the NCAA Cross Country Championship. American's Brendan Fennell and Steve Hallinan as well as Army's John Mickowski will each run in the championship, which will take place on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.

The last time that the Patriot League had three individuals compete at the NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship was 1993, when Ray Appenheimer of Colgate finished 7th at the event.

The men's race will begin at noon Eastern Time followed by the women's race at 12:55 p.m. Both championship races will be broadcast live on CSTV.
