The 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championship was held Monday afternoon in Terre Haute, Ind. The Patriot League sent three runners to the men's race following regional results the weekend prior to the championship. A total of 250 runners competed in the men's race.
The first Patriot League runner to cross the finish line was senior Brendan Fennell of American. Fennell, who was the individual champion at the Patriot League Cross Country Championship, finished the race in 119th place in a time of 31:18.4, less than two minutes behind the first-place finisher from Liberty University. Fennell's teammate, senior Steve Hallinan, finished the race in a time of 31:34.0, which placed him in 153rd place. The final Patriot League finisher was Army's John Mickowski, who ran the race in a time of 32:19.2, good enough for 207th place.
The University of Oregon won the team championship in the men's race, while Stanford University won the women's race. For a listing of complete race results and a recap, click here.
