Patriot League in the 2008 Summer Olympics - Tran Helps USA Field Hockey to Another Tie
Lafayette assistant coach Amy Tran had a solid effort in goal as the United States field hockey team played a higher-ranked opponent to a draw for the second game in a row on Tuesday in Beijing. Bucknell graduate J.R. Holden also played his second game of pool play for the Russian men's basketball team on Tuesday.

Patriot League in the 2008 Summer Olympics - Holden, Tran Solid in Debuts
Three days of competition are in the books in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and two representatives with Patriot League ties are off and running after solid efforts to aid their teams in the first games of preliminary play on Sunday. Bucknell graduate J.R. Holden tallied a game-high 19 points to lead Russia past Iran, 71-49, in men's basketball while Lafayette assistant field hockey coach Amy Tran started in goal and helped the United States Field Hockey team to a 2-2 tie against Argentina.

Jeremy Cook, a former member of the United States national field hockey team who was most recently an assistant coach at Indiana University, has been named head field hockey coach at Bucknell, director of athletics and recreation announced on Tuesday.

Lafayette's Amy Tran Competes in Beijing as Part of US National Field Hockey Team
Lafayette assistant field hockey coach Amy Tran received Goalkeeper of the Tournament accolades at the Women's National Championship in Virginia Beach, Va. It is the fifth time Tran has been named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament during her international career. She was selected to the 2008 USA Field Hockey team to compete in the summer Olympics in Beijing. Tran is a member of the first USA field hockey team to make an appearance in the Olympic Games since 1996.
