Hamilton, N.Y. - "We're going to Penn!"

Those four words could be heard throughout the dining room of Nichols & Beal in downtown Hamilton as the bottom half of the NCAA Division I women's lacrosse bracket was revealed on CBS College Sports. Colgate's matchup with second-seeded Penn was the last pairing to be announced, and although the Raiders had already guessed their tournament fate, the room erupted in cheers when the word "Colgate" appeared on the screen.

Colgate will visit Penn, which is ranked No. 1 in both national lacrosse polls this week, on Sunday, May 11, for the NCAA first-round game. The Raiders will be making their third NCAA tournament appearance in the last five years.

The Quakers, who won the Ivy League championship, defeated top-seeded Northwestern, 11-7, just two weeks ago. They enter the tournament with a 14-1 overall record. Penn owns the nation's top defense, which has limited its opponents to just 6.0 goals per game. Senior goalkeeper Sarah Waxman leads the country with a 5.97 goals against average and ranks 10th with a .506 save percentage.

Colgate and Penn have met just twice before, with their last meeting coming in 1978. The Quakers hold a slight 1-0-1 advantage in the series. The game will mark a homecoming for Colgate assistant coach Karrie Moore, who was a four-year letterwinner at Penn and was the Quakers' starting goalkeeper during the 2006 season.

Additional information about the game, including the starting time and live coverage, will be announced later in the week.
